The W Awards, formerly known as the Women in Architecture awards, celebrate exemplary work by women and non-binary people, from lifetimes of achievement to the work of those with bright futures ahead, from the design of the world’s most significant new buildings to contributions to wider architectural culture.

In partnership with both The Architectural Review and the Architects’ Journal, the W Awards promote role models for young architects in practice and encourage respect, diversity and equality in architecture.

This year, Farshid Moussavi and Mona Hatoum have been awarded the Jane Drew and Ada Louise Huxtable Prizes and will speaking at the W Lunch on Tuesday 3 May at the Brewery, where the winners of the Moira Gemmill and MJ Long Prizes will be announced. Find out more and book your seat here.

We need role models for every young woman out there. The more you are able to see yourself reflected in the wider culture, the more impactful it becomes: the W Awards are a platform, and we can’t ever assume that this work is over.
