Venue
Battersea Arts Centre is the world’s first Relaxed Venue. We aim to embed access and inclusivity across all our activities, for BAC to be a welcoming accessible space for all no matter what their access requirements. These values extend to our external hires.
Click here to read the document that outlines what we expect from those hiring our spaces for both private and public events in regards to aligning their event with our values. These are elements to consider when planning an event here at BAC.
Sustainability
Battersea Arts Centre recognises that business can negatively impact the environment. We are committed to, and enjoy finding ways in which we can reduce the impact of our work both in the office and away. Our policy aims to maintain a working environment that, where reasonably possible, strives to promote energy efficiency, recycling of waste materials and the use of recycled products in the pursuit of creating an economic and environmentally friendly workplace. We want to continue to reduce energy use across the building and adopt low carbon solutions where possible, especially in the design and delivery of our capital programme to refurbish and redevelop our building. We will incorporate sustainable processes within our artistic, social, heritage and diverse programmes where we can, learning from our experience, and the experiences of others, to improve future activities.

BAC is a place to create memories. Our exceptional staff, our thriving communities of artists and local people, and our beautiful home in Wandsworth are what make us unique. We believe that and breaking down barriers to access and inclusion can help to make the world a better place. Not for you, not for me, but for us.
If you have any further questions regarding the accessibility of your event please don’t hesitate to contact us at events@bac.org.uk or access@bac.org.uk
